Description
An Egyptian Revival style table lamp featuring a tiered architectural base made of cast metal with a distressed sage green and gold gilt finish. The base is ornamented with four sphinx figures situated at the corners, complemented by relief-molded palmettes, shells, and fleur-de-lis motifs. The structure is supported by four scrolling volute feet. The lamp includes a flared, bell-shaped fabric shade with vertical pleating and dark braided trim. It is equipped with a modern clear plastic-coated electrical cord. The underside of the base is finished with black felt. No maker marks or signatures are present. Height: 28 inches. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Condition report:
The cast metal base shows extensive flaking, chipping, and loss to the paint and gilt finish, which appears to be a combination of age-related wear and intentional distressing. The fabric shade exhibits minor age-related wear and slight fraying to the braided trim.
