Description
Patterson Flynn Martin large hand-stitched wool needlepoint rug on a canvas foundation. The rug features an all-over menagerie and botanical design on a black field partitioned by a red octagonal trellis grid. The rug is finished with a white canvas binding tape on the reverse edges. 11.5 x 8.5 feet (140 inches x 101.5 inches). This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Specific pickup instructions including the address and available pickup dates and times will be provided shortly after the auction.
Condition report:
The rug is in overall very good condition. The pile and design remain vibrant with no significant staining or large-scale repairs visible. Minor areas of fraying and loose threads are present on the reverse near the canvas binding tape, consistent with age and typical floor use.
