Description
A large hand-carved wood sculpture depicting a fish with stylized characteristics of a koi or goldfish. The artist has integrated the figure into a single piece of natural driftwood or root wood, utilizing the wood’s organic contours to define the form. The fish is detailed with deep, incised scales and prominent dorsal and pectoral fins. The face features stylized circular eyes and thick lips. The remainder of the sculpture is left in its natural, weathered state, characterized by a silvery-gray patina and deep grain fissures.

Condition report:
The sculpture is in very good condition. Natural splitting, knots, and textural irregularities are inherent to the driftwood medium and do not constitute damage. There are no signs of post-carving breakage, losses, or repairs.
