Description
A large rectangular wall mirror featuring a pierced openwork frame in the Rococo style. The frame is decorated with repeating scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and C-scroll motifs, finished in a matte white paint. It is constructed of a molded composite or gesso over a wood substrate. The rectangular mirror plate features a wide beveled edge. 72 x 50 inches. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Condition report:
The frame exhibits numerous hairline and structural cracks throughout the molded scrollwork and at the joinery points, typical for molded composite materials. There are minor surface scuffs and marks to the white finish. The mirror plate is in good overall condition with no visible foxing, silvering loss, or significant scratches.
