Description
A large scale decorative assembly featuring a scarlet macaw parrot in glazed porcelain suspended within a floral encrusted wreath and accompanied by a companion wall hanger. The central parrot figure is rendered with vibrant red body plumage, blue and yellow wing feathers, and a long red and blue tail. The bird is perched on a mottled purple porcelain bar finished with gilt metal end caps. The circular wreath is constructed of a gilt metal frame elaborately decorated with numerous hand painted porcelain flowers, including roses and pansies, interspersed with green painted metal foliage. The top of the wreath is finished with a gilt metal ribbon and bow motif and a vertical hanging rod with a loop. The accompanying wall bracket is crafted from gilt bronze in the Louis XVI style. A curving support arm extends from the bracket, terminating in a pinecone finial and a hook to hold the wreath. No maker marks or signatures are visible. Wreath and bird: 42" H x 24" W x 14" D. Wall mount: 20" H x 5" W x 15" D.

Condition report:
The item shows signs of previous use and damage. The porcelain parrot has one blue wing feather tip broken off and detached, though the piece is present. Due to the delicate nature of the materials, there are small chips and minor losses to the edges of the porcelain flower petals throughout the wreath. Minor oxidation and wear to the gilt finish are visible on the metal components. The wall bracket currently has a plastic wall anchor and screw attached to one mounting hole.
