Description
Roy Cross (British 1924-2024) Limited edition reproduction print after an original painting portraying the USS Constitution, nicknamed Old Ironsides, as it appeared upon its commissioning in 1798. The image depicts the vessel under full sail in turbulent waters. It is signed in the plate at the lower right ROY CROSS 1977. An inscription along the upper edge reads Published by Roy Cross Fine Arts Publications Ltd. in a single limited edition at 750 sequenced prints. The print is housed in a molded gilt-composition frame with a cream-colored mat that includes a printed title plaque in a window cutout. Frame size: 40 x 33 inches. Image size: 24 x 21 inches.

Condition report:
The print is in very good condition with no visible foxing, toning, or fading. The frame is well-preserved with some minor wear consistent with age. The paper backing on the reverse has several small punctures and tears.
