Georges Jean Marie Haquette (French, 1854-1906). Oil on canvas, maritime genre scene. Signed G. Haquette lower right. Sight: 30 3/4 x 42 5/8 in. Frame: 42 x 54 in.
Condition report:
Widespread craquelure is present across the entire canvas surface. There is accumulated surface dirt and yellowing of the varnish. Minor chips and losses are visible to the gilding and composition elements of the frame, especially at the corners. The canvas is stable on its stretcher with no visible patches or restorations on the verso.
