Description
Emile Louis Picault (French, 1833-1922). Bronze sculpture depicting a standing classical female figure with a butterfly resting on her hand. Signed Picault on the base. The entire piece is mounted to a three-tiered circular plinth composed of alternating bronze and polished black stone rings. Two small, circular metal plugs are visible on the upper back of the figure. The underside of the base is covered in felt. 27″ H x 10.5″ W x 10.5″ D.

Condition report:
A small chip is present on the edge of the black stone tier of the pedestal base. Two circular metal fastener heads are visible on the upper back of the figure. The piece shows minor surface dust and light patina wear consistent with age. The felt covering on the underside of the base shows light wear and small losses.
