Description
This large-scale contemporary abstract mixed media work on paper is by the Philadelphia-based artist Christopher Macsisak. Titled North Suite #1 and dated 2001, the composition features energetic, gestural black charcoal or graphite strokes overlaid on a textured wash of dusty rose and deep violet pigments. The work is structured by a hand-drawn perimeter grid of thin purple and black lines. It is signed Macsisak in purple pencil within the lower right image area. The reverse of the backing board is inscribed in pencil with the title, date, dimensions, and the artist’s signature. A printed invoice from the artist’s Philadelphia studio is also attached to the back. The piece is professionally presented with a wide white mat and housed in a thin gold-toned frame behind glass. Sight size: 24 x 39 inches. Framed size: 32 x 47 x 1.75 inches.

Condition report:
The artwork appears to be in very good condition with no visible foxing, fading, creasing, or surface damage. The professional framing is in good condition with minor expected handling wear to the gold-toned finish. The glass is clean and intact.
