Description
This lot features two mismatched wooden side tables with decorative wood inlay. The first is a kidney shaped petite commode in the Louis XV revival style. It is constructed from walnut or fruitwood with veneers and marquetry. The top depicts a central floral medallion surrounded by a scrolling foliate border. The body contains two curved drawers with floral marquetry and cast metal floral pulls, set on four slender cabriole legs. The second item is a rectangular occasional pedestal table in the late 19th or early 20th century Victorian style. The dark stained hardwood top features complex geometric parquetry including star and diamond motifs with striped borders in contrasting wood tones. The architectural base consists of a central turned post supported by four scrolled buttress style elements with circular cross pattern inlays, terminating in block feet with incised sunburst motifs. No maker marks are present.

Condition report:
Both tables exhibit surface wear consistent with age and use. The kidney shaped table shows several scratches and areas of finish loss on the top, minor chipping to the edges of the drawer fronts, and light scuffing on the legs. The pedestal table shows minor chips and small losses to the finish along the molded edges of the top, with typical nicks and scuffs on the base and feet.
