Description
A large Royal Dux Bohemia porcelain vase designed in the Art Nouveau style. The vessel features an organic, slender form rising from a lobed, bulbous base to a reticulated neck with a basket-weave pattern and a pierced rim. The body is decorated with relief-molded poppy flowers, buds, and elongated veined leaves. The piece is finished in a matte satin glaze of cream and beige tones with dark gray-green shading within the recesses to highlight the molding. Twin handles and flower centers are accented with hand-applied gilding. Marked on the underside of the base. Height: 17 inches.

Condition report:
The vase displays significant rubbing and loss to the gilding on both handles, exposing the white porcelain body beneath. The gold accents on the poppy centers also show wear. A small chip is present on the edge of one relief-molded flower petal on the lower front section of the vase. The interior of the neck and the reticulated areas show an accumulation of dust and surface grime. No other cracks or major repairs are noted.
