Description
This Fischer Budapest double handled vase is constructed of earthenware and features an intricate reticulated design. The piece is decorated with hand painted enamels and raised gilding in a dense Orientalist style. Two large scrolling handles with openwork reticulation flank the neck. The underside of the base displays an underglaze blue printed mark reading FISCHER J. BUDAPEST above the word PATENT. 20″ H x 10.5″ W x 10″ D.

Condition report:
The pedestal foot has sustained a major break into several pieces and has been re-glued, with visible adhesive residue and minor material loss at the seams. The reticulated handles show visible cracks and repairs, including a significant break and repair where one handle attaches to the neck. The glaze displays fine, uniform crazing throughout. There is minor wear to the gilding on high points and general surface grime consistent with age.
