Description
A collection of memorabilia related to the works of author Peter Benchley. The group includes a production wrap gift for the 1996 NBC miniseries Beast, comprising an oval enamel lapel pin featuring the fishing boat Privateer against a sea and sky background. The pin is mounted on a card and accompanied by a printed note on translucent paper with a message from director Jeff Bleckner. The lot further includes an oval light gray ceramic platter featuring a black graphic of bubbles above the word DEEP at the center. The platter was manufactured by Homer Laughlin China in the U.S.A. The final item is a promotional wristwatch for the television series Peter Benchley’s Amazon. The watch features a black bottle cap style bezel and a black leather strap with white contrast stitching, integrating a small liquid-filled compass. The watch face bears stylized red text and a 1999 Alliance Atlantis copyright. Plate: 1 1/4" H x 11 1/2" L x 9 1/8" W. Watch: 9" L x 1 1/2" W x 3/8" D.

Condition report:
The ceramic plate shows minor orange-toned staining and shelf wear on the underside rim. The wristwatch is in non-functional condition and requires a new battery; the leather strap shows no signs of wear. The enamel pin and printed note are in excellent condition with no visible defects.
