Description
Gear For Sports Universal Studios windbreaker jacket from the personal collection of Peter Benchley. The garment is constructed from a teal green cotton, polyester, and nylon blend fabric with a navy blue lining. The jacket features a high stand-up collar with a navy blue interior and drawstring adjustment, caped storm flaps on the front and back chest, and elasticated waist and cuffs. The left chest displays a Universal Studios logo. Tagged size XL. Chest 25", Length 21", Sleeves 23".
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The exterior fabric shows general wrinkling throughout. Light-colored spotting and staining are present on the front right side near the zipper. Several small dark marks and spots are visible on the left sleeve. The large interior decorative label is significantly distressed with heavy cracking and substantial loss of the printed graphic. Small white flecks and debris are present on the interior navy blue zipper placket.
