Description
Joe MacInnis (Canadian, b. 1937). Color photographic print on paper, documentation of the first manned dive to the HMS Breadalbane in the Northwest Passage, May 1983. The lower margin features a handwritten inscription in black ink reading: "First dive to the Breadalbane Northwest Passage – May, 1983", "For Peter and Wendy, with best wishes and admiration." Signed Joe MacInnis at the lower right. 16" H x 22" W.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The print is in good overall condition with some minor handling wear and slight waving to the paper across the center. The lower left corner has a small surface crease. No tears or stains are visible. The reverse is clean and blank.
