Description
Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). An assortment of six softcover magazines and periodicals from the personal collection of the celebrated author of Jaws. The group comprises a May 2005 issue of Men’s Journal, a May-June 1998 issue of Audubon, and a November 1999 special issue of TIME titled Beyond 2000. Three National Geographic issues are also present, dated June 1997, April 2000, and February 2002. These publications feature specific articles authored by Benchley, with a particular focus on marine life and sharks. The Men’s Journal issue highlights the 100 Greatest Adventures, while the Audubon issue includes Benchley’s article Swimming With Sharks. The April 2000 National Geographic features the cover story Inside the Great White. Unsigned. Largest: 11" H x 9" W x 1/4" D.

Condition report:
The magazines exhibit minor condition issues consistent with light handling and shelf wear. Light edge rubbing and softening at the corner tips are visible on the original wrappers. Several issues show minor creasing along the spine edges. The internal pages appear well-preserved and are free of significant foxing, notations, or missing leaves.
