Description
Terrence McNally (American, 1938–2020). Letterpress print on paper, Master Class, copyright 1995. The work features the final monologue for the character Maria Callas and stage directions from the play. The center displays a musical staff and rose illustration by David Price. Hand-signed Terrence McNally in ink and hand-numbered 58 from a limited edition of 200 copies. Printed at Digital Letterpress for Ambleside Press. The reverse displays an adhesive label for Island Art Center and a sticker for Tru Vue conservation grade glazing. Housed in a black-finished frame with a red inner lip. Frame: 21 1/2" H x 15 1/2" W.
Condition report:
Significant brown staining and foxing in the upper right and lower right corners. Additional minor foxing spots are present across the white field. The frame shows minor surface wear and small scuffs.
