Virginia Mayo (American, 1920-2005), Ginger Rogers (American, 1911-1995), Debbie Reynolds (American, 1932-2016), Joan Fontaine (British-American, 1917-2013), Claire Trevor (American, 1910-2000), Ann Miller (American, 1923-2004), Doris Day (American, 1922-2019), Lauren Bacall (American, 1924-2014), and Maureen O’Hara (Irish-American, 1920-2015). 9 autographed silver gelatin photographs featuring iconic actresses of the Golden Age of cinema. The assortment includes glossy black and white promotional portraits, studio headshots, and production stills, such as Ann Miller in Kiss Me Kate. Each photograph is signed on the recto in either black or blue permanent ink. Several items feature personalized inscriptions, including a lengthy birthday message from Doris Day and a 1993 inscription from Ginger Rogers. The collection is accompanied by individual third-party authentication documents from Todd Mueller Autographs and La Scala Autographs. One photograph is marked on the verso with pencil notations and a small stamped M in a square. 10″ H x 8 1/2″ W.
Condition report:
Overall very good condition. Minor surface nicks and faint scratches are present in the background of the Joan Fontaine portrait. The verso of the Maureen O\'Hara photograph exhibits pencil notations. Light toning is visible at the edges of the photographic paper consistent with age.
