Description
Richard Stone Reeves (American, 1919-2005). Pair of lithographs, Affirmed Defeating the 1979 Classic Winners and Genuine Risk Defeats the Colts. Both pencil signed lower right and numbered lower left. The prints were published by The Newmarket Gallery of New York City in 1980 and 1981 and printed in the USA by Triton Press Inc. Affixed to the verso of each frame is a printed summary of the race history. One frame includes additional ephemera including a Belmont Park tote ticket and a race program clipping dated October 6, 1979. 13″ x 17″ sight size, 21 1/2″ x 25 1/2″ with frame. Location: Bin 117/A
Condition report:
The prints show well-preserved colors with light age-related toning to the paper margins. The frames show minor surface wear and small scuffs. The backing paper on one frame is partially torn.
