Description

This lot consists of two large, hand-blown art glass vases in a contemporary style. The first vessel is pear-shaped and crafted from cased glass with a vibrant opaque red exterior that gradients to a light pinkish-white near the base. The interior is opaque white, and the underside features a circular polished pontil mark. The second vase is a tall, slender-necked piece with a bulbous lower body. The cased glass decoration features a mottled pink and red speckled top that transitions through a white band into a green and blue feathered or peacock pattern at the base. Like the first vase, it has an opaque white interior and a polished pontil mark on the bottom. Neither piece bears a visible signature or etched maker mark. Tallest vase: 16″ H x 4.5″ W x 4.5″ D. Shorter vase: 12″ H x 6″ W x 6″ D.

Location: 16B

Condition report:

Both vases are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The red teardrop vase exhibits dark internal carbon or glass inclusions trapped within the casing, visible on the side of the body. Both pieces show light shelf wear to the bases and minor surface scratches consistent with display and handling.
