Description
Group of five Bing & Grondahl porcelain figurines featuring traditional Danish genre scenes, including two works by sculptor Axel Locher (Danish, 1879-1941). Each piece is decorated in a traditional underglaze palette of cobalt blue, white, and soft neutral tones with a characteristic high-gloss finish. These figurines are constructed of fine white porcelain, cast and hand-painted before final glazing. One figure bears a gold retailer label on the underside for Focke & Meltzer Amsterdam. Marked on the underside Bing & Grøndahl, with select bases incised Axel Locher. Largest figurine: 9 1/2″ H x 5 1/2″ W x 5″ D.

Overall excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Delicate areas including fingers, bird beaks, and clothing edges appear completely intact across all five pieces.
