Description
Hollywood Regency style table lamp featuring a novelty music stand motif, constructed from gilt-finished metal. The central twisted stem supports a decorative music stand element adorned with fleur-de-lis finials and two non-functional candle-style holders with scalloped bobeches. The lamp is fitted with an oval, pleated cream fabric shade decorated with gold-toned metal scalloped trim along the upper rim. The trefoil-shaped base is supported by three scrolling legs and finished in matching gilt. The electrical components include a brown plastic, non-polarized two-prong plug and a cord showing an older repair. 31 1/2″ H x 11″ W x 9″ D.

Condition report:
The gilt finish exhibits moderate wear throughout, including surface oxidation, dark spotting, and minor losses most notable on the base and music stand element. The cream fabric shade shows light foxing and staining along the lower edge. The electrical cord is repaired with black tape approximately midway down its length. The protective felt on the underside of the base is heavily worn and beginning to peel.
