The lamp is designed with a central vertical rod topped by a looped ring handle and a single curved arm supporting a modern electrical socket. A decorative cylindrical brass canister mimicking a traditional oil reservoir is mounted on the opposing side for balance. The frosted amber glass shade features a ruffled rim and a raised diamond pattern. The fixture stands on a weighted, flared circular base equipped with an on/off rotary switch. A modern safety label is present on the socket and a partial UL tag is attached to the cord. No manufacturer labels are present. 18 1/2″ H x 14″ W x 9″ D.
Location: 15A
Condition report:
The brass finish shows extensive surface wear including heavy tarnish, pitting, and discoloration throughout. The weighted base exhibits significant loss of the brass plating, revealing a reddish-copper colored metal or oxidation. The amber frosted glass shade is in good condition with no visible cracks or chips. The electrical cord and plug are modern replacements and appear to be in functional condition; the lamp is confirmed as working. The underside base plate shows light surface rust.
