Condition report:
The piece exhibits a heavily distressed finish throughout, consistent with an antiqued or aged treatment. Extensive lacquer loss, flaking, and alligatoring is visible across all exterior surfaces, particularly on the top and black-lacquered frame. The painted panels show significant surface wear and losses to the pigment. The interior and reverse show natural wood grain with age-related wear, staining, and scattered abrasions. Metal hardware shows moderate oxidation and patina.
