The exterior displays a polychrome painted surface in muted red and dark green tones. A repeating pattern of eight-pointed stars is carved into the corner stiles and the lower rail. The slightly overhanging lid opens on hand-wrought iron strap hinges to a dark-stained interior containing a lidded till. The chest is fitted with a decorative brass-toned metal lock plate. It is supported by block feet formed by the side panel extensions. 35" H x 60" W x 24" D.
