Description
A collection of seven Wedgwood jasperware items featuring various forms and colors. This group includes pieces in traditional light blue, sage green, and white colorways, all decorated with characteristic sprigged bas-relief classical and botanical motifs. The set includes a cylindrical biscuit barrel in light blue with white relief classical scenes, fitted with a polished metal lid, swinging bail handle, and three bun feet; a large cylindrical jar in light blue with a domed lid and acorn finial; a round sage green lidded box with a grapevine border; a lobed white lidded box with light blue relief featuring a chariot scene; a small cylindrical lidded box in blue; a miniature ovoid vase in white with light blue relief; and a trefoil-shaped dish in white with light blue relief. The larger cylindrical pieces feature white-glazed interiors. Select pieces bear the impressed WEDGWOOD mark on the underside. Largest item: 8 x 6 x 6 inches. Location: 11C
Condition report:
Overall good condition. The metal mounts on the biscuit barrel exhibit surface tarnish and wear consistent with age. There is minor surface dust and light handling wear to the matte stoneware exteriors. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations are noted.
