John Pike (American, 1911–1979). Watercolor on paper, interior scene. Signed lower left. The watercolor depicts an interior of the Bearsville, Woodstock, New York estate of music manager Albert Grossman, with its distinctive exposed timber beams, stone-and-brick fireplace, leaded window, and rustic architectural details. Sight: 17 1/2 x 26 in. Frame: 25 1/2 x 33 in.

Condition report:

Prominent vertical crease or seam running through the lower center of the paper. General paper toning and mat burn along the edges. Frame displays minor surface wear and abrasions. Puncture to the paper backing on the verso.
