Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Dido & Aeneas, a project for the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Portfolio with 12 pieces of original artwork — 7 set designs and 5 costume designs. All mixed media with gouache and ink on black paper, costume designs mounted on illustration board and with "Dido & Aeneas" handwritten on the mounts. Larger set designs sheets 13" x 18". All as is. Tony Walton enrolled at the Slade School of Fine Art in London circa 1954, after completing two years of military service. His handwritten label on the portfolio indicates that these pieces were part of his course work from that time.
