Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Triple Bill – Covent Garden Tragedy. 2 pieces original costume design artwork, mixed media with ink and gouache. Both signed lower right. Each 18 1/2" x 9" (with frames 29" x 18"). With a third mixed media costume design for a Fiddler from an unknown production. Frames all with scratches, chips, losses; Fiddler detached from mount and loose in frame. All created by Tony Walton, 2 for the West End production of Covent Garden Tragedy, National Theatre, 1968. Together with A Most Unwarrantable Intrusion and In His Own Write (The Lennon Play), the three productions made up "Triple Bill". Unwarrantable was the first part, Covent Garden the second, and In His Own Write the third.
