Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). The Tempest (ballet). Set model, mixed media with black cardboard, metal, wood, gouache, printed paper and other materials. 24"H x 36 3/4"L x 20 1/2"D. As is and in production used condition, and with loose and missing pieces, 3 portals detached and front portal partially detached, sections of board torn and detached throughout. Created by Tony Walton for the ballet performance The Tempest, San Francisco Ballet, 1980. The Tempest was filmed and aired as part of PBS’s Dance in America in 1981.
