Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Guys and Dolls. 26 pieces set design artwork, including originals and prints. 7 portals for set model, prints, 1 with added metal fire escape; 3 #3 slider prints, 2 mounted together and 1 with added hand painting; print with hand painting; 4 printed backdrops; 7 flying signs, gouache on acetate; 48th Street Runyonland manhole cover, gouache on black illustration board and with handwritten notations in gold ink; 3 Broadway / Runyonland art prints, numbered in pencil 190, 191, 192 from the edition of 200. Acetate signs 15" x 20" including mounts; manhole cover 9" x 15". Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Guys and Dolls, Martin Beck Theatre, 1992-1995; and the national tour, 1992-1994. Tony Walton won a Tony Award for Scenic Design for the Broadway production in 1992, and the show and its cast and crew won several other awards, including the Tony for Best Revival the same year.
