Description
This collection features four significant robot toys from the late 1970s and early 1980s, representing the height of the mecha and sci-fi toy era. The group includes a Zincron die-cast Mekanda Robo (Stock No. 43740, Japan) featuring firing rocket capabilities and accessory badges; a Takara Diakron Multi-Force 14 Robot (No. 001, 1983, Macau) which consists of 14 individual battle vehicles that combine into a single warrior robot; a motorized Mego Micronauts Microtron (No. 71050, 1976, Hong Kong) designed for compatibility with the Micronauts figure line; and a Clover Jet Action Robot (JAR-1201, 1984, Korea) constructed of die-cast metal that converts into a red Corvette with pullback action. The Diakron set is notable for its original Styrofoam tray housing the various small vehicles and pilot figures. These items represent a diverse cross-section of toy manufacturing from Japan, Macau, Hong Kong, and Korea during the period. Dimensions of the lot as stacked are approximately 10 by 14 inches.
Condition: The items are housed in their original packaging. The boxes exhibit age-appropriate shelf wear, including corner scuffing, creases, small tears, and original retail price labels. The toys appear largely complete within their respective housings; however, the motorized function of the Microtron is untested. The Diakron set includes the internal Styrofoam packaging. All items are sold as-is.
