Description
This lot features two vintage Arkron Space Robot interchangeable action figures manufactured by Ark Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, and distributed by Marukai Trading Co. of Carson, California. The set includes Black King (Stock No. 45036) and Red King (Stock No. 45104). These figures are constructed from a combination of Alloy Metal die-cast and plastic components, designed for modular customization and part-swapping between models. Both robots are housed in their original illustrated blue window boxes featuring graphics of other models in the series, such as King Joe and Gomola. The figures are presented in their original white styrofoam protective inserts. These pieces represent the classic era of Japanese die-cast robot toys exported to the United States market. Dimensions for each box are approximately 9.5 x 8 inches.
Condition: The figures appear largely complete within their original packaging. The Red King box contains some loose components within the insert. The original blue cardboard boxes exhibit significant shelf wear consistent with age, including overall scuffing, edge creasing, corner dings, and minor tearing on the flaps. One box retains a vintage 12.00 retail price sticker. The window plastic shows some light wrinkling. Originality of all small parts is assumed but not guaranteed due to the loose nature of some components.
