Description
Tiffany and Co. three-piece mantle clock and candelabra garniture set. The pieces are constructed from ornate gilt metal featuring cast and chased decorations including gadrooned borders, scrolling acanthus leaves, floral swags, and pineapple finials. The set is further embellished with inset bleu celeste Sevres-style porcelain plaques. The clock movement backplate is stamped TIFFANY and CO NEW-YORK and is numbered 4252. The candelabra bases are incised with the matching number 4252. Clock: 13″ H x 9″ W x 5″ D.
Condition report:
The gilt metal surfaces show a light aged patina with minor tarnish and dust in recessed areas consistent with age. The porcelain plaques and dial appear well-preserved with no visible chips, cracks, or significant loss to the hand-painted decoration. The clock movement is present and includes its bell and pendulum; however, the mechanical functionality has not been tested.
