Description
Sevres Style gilt bronze mounted porcelain dish. The rectangular dish features rounded corners and a central hand-painted pastoral scene depicting a man and woman in 18th-century attire seated in a landscape. The border is finished in deep cobalt blue with raised gilt scrollwork and floral motifs, featuring four reserves with hand-painted floral sprays. The central painted scene is signed in the lower left. The porcelain dish is marked on the underside. Stamped “L. Henry” on the underside of the mount. 5″ H x 13″ W x 7″ D.
Condition report:
The item is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the porcelain. There is minor wear to the gilded decoration on the porcelain and light patination to the bronze mounts consistent with age. Small felt pads are present on the bottom of the feet.
