Description
Gary Weisman (American, born 1952). This large-scale bronze sculpture depicts a standing nude female figure in an expressive, introspective pose with arms crossed and head bowed. The work features a heavily textured, hand-modeled surface with a dark brown to black patina, characteristic of the artist style which bridges classical figuration and modern expressionism. The figure is balanced on one foot atop an integral rocky base, which is mounted on a large, square black pedestal. The artist signature WEISMAN is incised on the rocky base near the figure foot. 63 x 25 x 20 1/2. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Specific pickup instructions including the address and available pickup dates and times will be provided shortly after the auction.
