Description
This console table features a substantial rectangular top composed of a thick slab of figured brown brecciated marble with prominent white and tan veining. The oak frame is designed with a deep, shaped apron heavily carved with a central scallop shell motif flanked by foliate scrolls and rosettes. The piece is supported by four cabriole legs featuring acanthus-leaf carving at the knees and terminating in bold ball-and-claw feet. The oak displays a prominent open grain and is finished in a medium-to-dark brown tone. 31.5″ H x 60″ L x 18.75″ D. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Condition report:
The table is in good overall condition. The marble top exhibits natural variations and light surface scratches commensurate with age and use. The oak frame shows minor wear to the finish, particularly along the edges of the apron and feet. Light dust accumulation is present within the carved decorative elements.
