Description
A console table designed in the Mediterranean or Spanish Colonial Revival style. The table features a long, rectangular wood top with a framed inset panel design, finished in a deep reddish-brown stain. The top is supported by a blackened wrought iron base. Each end of the base consists of two out-swept legs that terminate in decorative scrolls. The legs are connected by a horizontal wrought iron stretcher featuring a central, double-bulbous turned decorative element. Brass-toned metal cylindrical collars with spherical finials join the iron supports. No maker marks or signatures are visible. 31″ H x 57″ L x 19″ D. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Specific pickup instructions including the address and available pickup dates and times will be provided shortly after the auction.
Condition report:
The wood top exhibits significant condition issues, including heavy alligatoring of the finish, widespread flaking, and large areas of finish loss exposing the wood underneath. The wrought iron base shows minor surface wear, light scuffing, and faint surface oxidation. The brass-toned metal components have a dulled patina with localized tarnishing.
