Description
A large-scale industrial floor lamp in the steampunk style. The frame is constructed of wrought metal with a dark, textured patina. It features a cantilevered arm operated by a functional pulley system with a large brass-toned decorative gear. The arm is counterbalanced by a polished, carved green and tan banded onyx vessel finished with brass and gear-shaped accents. The central vertical shaft is wrapped with a copper-toned wire coil. The lamp stands on a four-legged scrolling metal base with ball feet. The cream-colored fabric shade is hexagonal and decorated with a wide band of tiered brown beaded tassels over a long, salmon-toned fringe. The interior houses a three-socket brass cluster with two pull-chain switches terminating in brown wooden ball finials. 79″ H. Condition report:
Overall good condition. The metal frame exhibits an intentional rustic patina with minor surface dust in the gear teeth and crevices. The fabric shade is clean and free of tears or significant staining. The beaded fringe and tassels appear to be complete. Minor scuffing and finish wear are present on the ball feet of the base consistent with floor contact. Tested and working.
