Description
Francis Sydney Muschamp (British, 1851-1929). Oil on canvas, woodland landscape. Signed lower left. Paper label on verso reading "F. Muschium Waterfall." Sight: 27 x 35 in. Framed: 34 x 41 in.

Condition report:
The painting shows fine craquelure consistent with age, primarily located in the heavy impasto areas of the waterfall. Several vertical scratches and surface abrasions are present on the right side of the canvas, along with a small circular loss of paint in the upper center foliage. The frame displays a vertical stress crack through the gesso molding on the bottom edge. Minor surface dust and grime are present.
