Description
A pair of tall Egyptian Revival glazed ceramic vases. The slender, tapered bodies feature a high-gloss graduated glaze transitioning from a dark forest green at the neck to a deep midnight blue at the base. Each vase is set into ornate gilt metal mounts including a band around the shoulder and long, flowing whiplash handles decorated with foliate clusters. 20 1/2″ H.

Condition report:
Visible surface scuffs and scratches are present on the ceramic bodies. There are small areas of glaze loss, primarily located on the lower blue-glazed portions. Fine overall glaze crazing is observed. The gilt metal surfaces show minor oxidation and rubbing consistent with age and handling.
