Description
A pair of Gorham Mfg. Co. Neoclassical style copper clad candlesticks. Each piece features a tapered stem accented with embossed foliate motifs, leading to a domed base decorated with applied laurel wreaths. The candlesticks are constructed with copper shells over circular iron base plates. The lower edge of each base is stamped with three Gorham hallmarks. Height: 11.5 inches.

Condition report:
Both pieces exhibit white wax residue in the sockets and dripping down the stems. There are several prominent dents and deformations along the edges of the bases. The copper surfaces show general tarnish, scratches, and wear consistent with age and use. The iron base plates on the undersides show heavy oxidation and rust.
