The panel is constructed of a dark-toned hardwood and features elaborate high-relief Shibayama inlay depicting a classical nature scene. The inlay is crafted from carved and polished bone, some of which is stained or painted with green and yellow pigments, along with iridescent mother-of-pearl. The panel features two square, red-toned inlaid artist seals on the lower-left side in stylized seal script. The panel is housed in a gilt-wood frame carved to simulate bamboo. The reverse shows surface scratches, mounting holes from previous hanging hardware, two horizontal support struts, and four protective felt pads. Sight: 27 x 17 in. Frame: 30 x 20 in.
