Description
Bert Stern (American, 1929-2013). Two offset lithograph exhibition posters, Marilyn Monroe from The Last Sitting, 1979. Each color image depicts the subject draped in a diagonally striped orange, yellow, and white scarf against a white ground. The posters were produced for the exhibition Bert Stern Photographs held at the Boris Gallery of Photography in Boston. Each sheet bears a printed facsimile signature and date reading Marilyn ’62 in the lower margin and is hand-numbered in pencil 1523/2500 and 1303/2500 in the lower right corner of the image field. 29 1/2 x 23 1/2 in.
Condition report:
Both unframed posters show light handling wear and minor creasing concentrated at the outer edges. There are no significant tears, stains, or surface losses visible on the sheets.
