Description
Pair of Weiman French Provincial style side tables. Each table is constructed of wood with a medium-toned brown finish featuring subtle faux-distressed speckling. The square tops contain recessed leather surfaces decorated with a gold-tooled Greek key and scroll border. The apron is detailed with five turned spindles on each side between scrolled corner brackets. Each table is supported by four cabriole legs featuring carved acanthus leaf motifs at the knees and terminating in scrolled feet. Marked on the underside. 24 1/2″ H x 25″ W x 25″ D.
Condition report:
The tables are in fair to good vintage condition. The leather surfaces show significant scuffing, surface scratches, and areas of crazing throughout. The wooden frames exhibit numerous nicks, abrasions, and finish loss, most notably on the scrolled edges, corners, and legs. One leg displays a deep vertical scratch. There is a visible accumulation of dust within the carved details and along the lower frame members.
