Description
10 Golden Age humor and anthropomorphic comic books published by Dell, Archie Comic Publications, Toby Press, and American Comics Group. The booklets are staple-bound softcover volumes featuring four-color lithographic illustrations on newsprint paper. The collection includes titles such as Archie No. 43, Al Capp’s Li’l Abner No. 77, and Walt Kelly’s Pogo Possum Nos. 5, 6, and a later issue. The remaining issues comprise Ha-Ha Comics No. 80, Francis the Famous Talking Mule No. 347, Little Iodine, and two issues of Roland Coe’s The Little Scouts. Several issues feature faint pencil-written dates on the front covers.
Condition report:
Archie No. 43 displays substantial paper loss at the left spine edge and a partially detached cover. Li\'l Abner No. 77 has a split spine with significant edge chips and a large loss at the lower right corner. The remaining issues show varying degrees of spine stress, edge tanning, corner creasing, and minor shelf wear. Interior pages are tanned throughout the collection.
